For the residence in ARCUS

In my past works, I used ready-made objects and symbolic images to present my works.
During my residency I will try to use images of the wallpaper one of my art pieces to interact with environments around ARCUS.
If possible,I will install my studio with pink wallpapers to interact with local people when opening day.
In the other way I want to learn one of the traditional dramas such as Noh to expand my ideas in ARCUS.
I hope there will be a good beginning in Japan.
I love all of you.
Szuhui from Taiwan.

Born in 1980. Lives and works in Banciao, Taiwan.
Interested in the globalization of the modern world, she has created those installation works which tries to combine elements of western myths and symbols of dolls. Lee is particularly interested in the traditional Japanese performing arts such as Kabuki or Noh etc. During the residence period, she is planning to conduct research on these cultures, compare them with her own culture, and finally explore another way of expression which makes it possible to connect different genres and contexts.
