Donald ABAD

For the residence in ARCUS

Arcus residence will be a part of my Odyssey.
This is a long walk, on the ways and roads, through campaigns and mountains, Movements from reality to virtuality (and turn over), from local network to global network (and turn over), from sensors to sound and video (and turn over), movements of the datas.
Before I'll leave Japan, I'll present -and show- what is a Network, to be a part of a Network, and how to get from one to another by some possible connections and how to be free from anyone of them.
And, at the end of the road, I'll be the way.

Born in 1978. Lives and works in Paris, France.
Abad has been creating various types of works which try to examine and connect contemporary technology, nature and human body. Since his last visit to Japan, Abad has individually researched on Japanese unique cultures such as Yamabushi (mountain priest) or Yokai (Japanese monsters). During the stay in ARCUS, he is currently planning to visit the Japanese Alps for further research and project of the examination of the relationship between the nature and multimedia.
