Rikke Luther

Born in Aalborg, Denmark in 1970. Graduated the Royal Danish Academy, Copenhagen in 1998. Co-founded the artist group N55 in 1996. Resident artist at NIFCA, Qaqortoq, Greenland in 2001 and Les Arques, Les Arques, France in 2003. Currently lives and works in Copenhagen and Berlin.

During residency
As part of Luther’s investigation into habitat and environment, she constructed Paper Dwelling, based on modular shape of a sea urchin. Used cardboard materials for the dwelling were collected through the "Collecting System" devised by the artist.

Combining the concept of Walking City by ARCHIGRAM and Luther’s idea of urban planning, students were asked to build models of buildings for an environmentally-friendly city, out of used cardboards.
