Biography
Born in Nagoya, Aichi in 1977. Graduated from Nagoya Zokei Junior College of Art and Design in 1997. Lives and works in Nagoya.

During residency
With the help of a farmer in Yawara Village, Kitayama constructed a Straw Wall in her studio and, based on the fable Three Little Pigs, nurtured a mini-pig as her alter ego in her installation to emulate the lazy pig that made a straw hut. Also, carried out workshops with the Brass Band Club of Moriya High School, Ibaraki, and Ina School for Disabled Children, Ibaraki.
