Biography
Born in Miami, Florida, USA in 1968. Obtained MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1992. Lives and works in New York.

During residency
With a focus on human perspective in a given space, Fernández purchased nylon materials used for brush to make objects that expressed different positions of power based on social status and/or gender.
