Biography
Born in Seoul, Korea in 1970. Obtained MFA from Ewha Women’s University in 1995.

During residency
Interested in the self and its surroundings, Shin created the installations, Clear・Unclear and Moriya 1996.11.15. 11:09. In making the latter work, she placed identical lf ags at 10 diff erent locations in town and photographed them at the same time on the same day, to show different conditions of the same thing in various environments.

Participants painted the view they saw through the window, by applying acrylic paint on transparent plastic sheets that covered the window.
