Biography
Born in Norwood, Massachusetts, USA in 1964. Obtained MFA from Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, California. Lives and works in Los Angeles.

During residency
Inspired by the exercise routines of the basketball team and the gymnasium space she witnessed at the local junior high school, Lockhart invited 25 members of the girl's basketball team to take part in a week of if lming session, along with Stephen Galloway, dancer and choreographer of the Frankfurt Ballet Company, and camera crew. This work has been shown in numerous film festivals around the world.
