Studio Talk x Fumio Nanjo

OPEN STUDIOS Related Program

We will hold Studio Talk with Fumio Nanjo (ARCUS Project adviser/ Director at Mori Art Museum) at each resident artists' studio, moderated by Kenichi Kondo (Guest curator).

ARCUS Project invites emerging and internationally active contemporary artists for the artist-in-residence program with the aim of fostering the talents of high quality artists and supporting them in their creative investigations. By dedicating production spaces and time to our resident artists, they are given the perfect conditions to be fully absorbed in their work and in themselves. So far, 100 artists including pairs from 33 different countries and regions have been hosted by this scheme. In the latest open call for applications, we received 717, the largest number of applications from 85 different countries and regions. ARCUS Project is well known all over the world as a gateway for launching emerging artists onto the international stage.

By inviting Fumio Nanjo who was one of juries in selection process, we'd like to share experience to see the artists' progress together.
